Tottenham vs. The Toffee

Tottenham Hotspur got a brilliant opportunity to start at their home crowd, The Lane was filled with tons of people who turned towards the stands just to see their players go against The Toffees. At the half times things were a bit interesting as Totts were able to put 1 with their name, courtesy Harry Kane who with a help of a venomous shoot was able to beat Joel standing at his post. Maybe he was not down with this one as the English forward after the break gave a comeback with poke pass by Dele Alli, ending Spurs 2-0 in the score. With this one going past the defenses of the goalkeeper, the 23-year old is now the leading scorer of the league with a proud figure of 19 written with his name.

However, the opposite of Kane, Romelu Lukaku was able to find the middle of the nets in the 81st minute, after this the score reached 2-1. But this is not where everything ended as the end was more than just frantic. First it was Alli who was able to go through the defenses and made it get clear for the 3-1 and with just a few seconds left for the final whistle Everton’s star substitute, Enner Valencia made the game end in a bang for the team as he beat the offside trap to tap it in. This was a time when Spurs were all rattled and alerted again for the remaining seconds on the clock just to secure their 16th win for this season and for putting Everton on seventh again.

Spurs are all set and will be in action for the league following Sunday against Southampton they’ve already got enough gap between them and Spurs will not make a mistake to keep the winning streak alive. Whereas Everton will be looking to recover from the loss as they go back against West Brom at the Goodison Park, this will be worth watching as both are shaking shoulders with each other in the points table.
